Welcome to the Warzone

My friends, in a previous message, I shared with you the urgency of accepting Jesus as Saviour before its too late, but there is more to the Christian life than that, by accepting Jesus you have done the minimum to save yourself, but God has so much more to give you, for you to experience, that it would be a shame for you to miss out on all of the remaining blessings God has for you.

God created us as spiritual beings to have a relationship us, and gave us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our salvation, when Jesus died on the cross so that relationship - broken from the time of Adam to Jesus could be restored.

Gal 5.16-25
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

As we read it's a daily battle my friend, which is the old life {flesh} fighting against the new life in Christ Jesus {Spirit} and in a battle my friend you have to choose sides, there is no no-mans land in this battle, its a constant choice - do I/you decide to follow Christ today? Do I live for God or for myself...

If you are unsure, the Holy Spirit is called the comforter, the Bible also says he will lead us into all truth, or ask God your commander-in-chief for help, thats called prayer, by the way..

The side we choose will be evidenced by the fruits we produce, as we read, and said yesterday we reap what we sow.. so be careful what you sow my friend..

We all mess it up, me included, but thankfully the shed blood of Jesus on Calvary, can and does wash our sins away, the bible calls that being justified, being made right with God, so we can reenter the battle.

But my friend it's a battle worth fighting, and we have been called to be overcomers, so I ask you will you join in?
